Independent, third-party testing has validated what Morgan Foods' internal research has already shown: Our soups taste as good or better than national brands across several categories. As a value-added service to you, we can conduct highly accurate taste tests of any product—from soups to salsa.
Consumers demand great-tasting products every time. With decades of experience as a private-label manufacturer, Morgan Foods knows that earning your trust means helping you to build loyalty with your shoppers through high-quality, consistent products.
As a final measure to ensure your products' quality and consistency, Morgan Foods meets or exceeds the requirements of all food safety and inspection programs.
• State-of-the-art facility is inspected by the USDA and FDA as part of their joint product safety program, HACCP (Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points), which defines and strictly monitors critical control points within processes for compliance to predetermined quality specifications.
• AIB (American Institute of Baking) and FPA (Food Products Association) audit our production facility for cleanliness and adherence to federal Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• System Application Product (SAP), a complete business management software system/enterprise resource planning system, gives us a holistic, integrated managerial approach to all aspects of our business.
• Radio Frequency (RF) scanning system allows for greater inventory controls and accuracies through disciplined tracking of all internal and external material movements.
• Perimeter and internal security systems preserve the safety and integrity of our products.
• PLC-based computerized mixing and batching system further improves the consistency of your products.
• Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) collects computer-integrated data, analyzes all steps of the production operation, and stores data for future analysis.
• Kosher certification gives you the option of providing specialty products to emerging populations.
Preserving the quality of your Morgan Foods products means protecting their most important ingredient: water. We purify, measure and monitor the quality of all incoming water to meet or exceed stringent specifications. In addition, our wastewater treatment plant—driven by an automated process control system—helps protect and preserve the environment in which we create your products.
To further boost your product quality, Morgan Foods only partners with suppliers who can provide wholesome and unadulterated ingredients. Raw ingredients for your products are inspected upon arrival by trained quality technicians. Once these ingredients meet our strict quality specifications, we store them in temperature-controlled warehouses to preserve their integrity prior to production.
Our automated batching systems ensure your products' quality and consistency. In-container sterilization systems match the best sterilization process to each product, ensuring that quality is preserved and not derogated. Continuous rotary sterilizers, hydrostatic sterilizers and batch sterilizers.—complemented with process management systems.—control the sterilization process and generate records to meet FDA and USDA requirements. Quality technicians and batch station operators inspect your product during production.
After production, our Sensory Analysis panelists conduct several daily tests. We compare your actual production samples to standard samples to identify batch-to-batch or shift-to-shirt variations. Descriptive spice panels identify alternate or dual ingredient suppliers (or cost-effective ingredient substitutions). Visual, taste and olfactory tests discriminate between products and determine how closely your samples match target products.
